Smoking At St. Mary's Supper Club
Smoking Info
Our Bar & Family Room are Smoke Free.
As of 1 July 2007 the county's smoking ban took affect. The changes require floor to wall ceilings and closable doors separating a smoking area from non-smoking rooms. Because of the layout of our Bar and the extensive cost to make it meet the standards to be a smoking room, construction would be nearly impossible and definitely not cost effective to convert it to a smoking room. This has left us with the limited option of either going completely smoke free or moving our smoking room to the back room that is already separated by walls and a closable door.
Smokers Currently Still Have A Room
Our current decision is to make the backroom a smoking room when it is available. We have added a TV and new tables to make this room as comfortable as the rest of our dining areas. This room doubles as our Banquet room, so when we have a group scheduled we don't have a smoking are. Please call before you come, if a smoking area is a must for you, to insure this room is available. We will continue to use this space as a smoking area until the law precludes us from doing so.
So Far So Good
So far most have been very pleased with our decision. Non-smokers have been real happy to have a smoke free environment (possible because of the layout of the building and its ventilation system) and smokers have been real appreciative to still have a smoking room. It has always been our intention to accommodate our customers in every way possible and we will continue to do so as long as possible.
